HERE'S WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT MR. LUCKY:

"Got the new CD - its terrific!  I love the original material.  You just don't see that very often with doo-wop and oldies groups.  Terrific!  The CD will be heard on our network every day this week and many times through the rest of the year.  Its number 1 on my pick hits."

"Go back in time to Harlem, 1955.  The R&B vocal group the Cadillacs are onstage dishing doo-wop harmonies punctuated with staccato sax blasts.  The flashy Cadillac frontman Earl Carroll is donning his signature straw hat and waving his cane as he belts in his smooth clear tenor,  "They often call me Speedo, but my name is Mr. Earl."  Rock has changed radically, but they still call Mr. Earl Speedo, and 50 years later he and his band have released a new record - 11 songs written in classic early rock and doo-wop styles.  The sound is so retro it allows you to hear the beauty of the Cadillac style without geezer prejudice.  The key tracks on this disc are the title cut, "Mr. Lucky," and "Better Than Ever," where in four-part harmony, the band declares "we're better than we ever was."
